Remember what they say about imitation?
Figured I should make mention of the passing of Jan Gabriel. Jan came up with and was the first person to voice the phrase "SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY!" back in the day, which at the time was both creative and catchy. He was an innovator, also credited with that classic balls-to-the-wall sound that's become so familiar in local radio advertising. If only it had been trademarked or something to save us the ear torture of all the copy-catting to come. Sounds like he had more than a few tough years later in his life. He passed away on Sunday. Really. Thoughts and prayers to his wife and family.
Here's a piece on Jan and his passion, Demolition Derby.
